An online magazine has approached me to provide them with guest articles. They want to get in the good book of Microsoft Bing and asked me if it is better to publish AI-generated content to get a higher search rank in the Bing Search Engine.

Generative AI is the reason Search Engines struk all blogs. Microsoft Bing and Google will not rank blogs using AI to create content.

Bing has its own generative AI. So, they might not appreciate other websites publishing content generated by AI. Bing will rank UGC over generative AI content.

I think they’ll prioritize the user generated content over the AI generated stuff. So I think they probably favour original content which feels more authentic and less like rehashed or spun from elsewhere.
