I have a website discussing air coolers. My website compares different models of air coolers available in the market. We compare the technology, price, and market response.
So far, I have no revenue models and plan to implement Amazon affiliate links. You know how important it is to have revenue to cover the hosting expenses.
My question is about the negative impacts of adding Amazon affiliate links to a web page. Can it hurt the SEO score of my website?

How to Place an Affiliate Link without Hurting The SEO?
Amazon Affiliate is a well-known Affiliate Program. It will not affect the SEO score if you place the Amazon Affiliate links on a relevant page.
Google penalizes a website only if it places an affiliate link on a page without enough content. Another critical point is to add a rel=nofollow tag to the link.

According to Google Search guidelines, using affiliate links on a page is fine if that page has enough content. That page must have original content that gives value to the reader. Most webmasters do not see any penalty from Google over using one or two affiliate links on a page with sufficient content.yelan333 wrote: Sorry for reviving this thread. Alex George pointed out an important factor. Always add rel=nofollow to the affiliate link. So Google won't see it as a manipulation of links.Alex George wrote: Always add the rel=nofollow tag to the affiliate link.

Nothing to fear, Yelan333. I have been running two affiliate websites for the past ten years. They were fine until Google released the HCU update. Now, they do not have much traffic, but not due to affiliate links. HCU affected other websites I run too ( that do not have affiliate links).
