Hello, I am moving to Brooklyn soon and have not been there before. I have a quick question about how quickly the local broadband service providers install the cables and start the function. I read a few reviews claiming the service personnel took a lot of time to process the request and installation. Is anyone from Brooklyn here to give real advice?

Hello Kelly, Welcome to the SysToSys Community. I am from Brooklyn, and I guess I can answer your question. If you are looking for cable Internet, the ISP must install cable that may include drilling. It may take time. Is it your house or a rental?

If it is a rental house, you might need permission from the house owner. If the house has an existing cable connection, you are lucky. You will just need a modem and activation from the ISP.

Thank you for the response, Alex. I have not moved yet, and searching for a rental house. I will ask the house owner if that house already has a cable.

Can you name a few good Internet Service Providers in Brooklyn?

Kelly, you can subscribe to all major Internet Service Providers in Brooklyn. Wireless and cable ISPs are present here.

If you want fixed wireless Internet connections, go for T mobile or Starry Internet. My recommendations for cable broadband connections in Brooklyn are Verizon or Astound Broadband.

Thank you, Xavior. I am looking for a cable broadband connection, not wireless.
