I have a few German friends who blame the former German Chancellor Angela Merkel for today's economic crisis and the shutting down of tech companies. But, I always find that illogical as Germany was an economic powerhouse in her era.

Now, I feel my friends are not alone in this idea. DW News, a popular German broadcasting company, published a video on how Germany's economic fortune changed due to the long-lasting effects of Angela Merkel's policies.

They indirectly blame Angela Merkel for the shutting down of German auto tech companies. What are your thoughts on this subject?

That documentry looks like a propoganda. How can Angela Merkel predict future? Russia Ukraine conflict is the reason for Germany's economic downfall.

I do not buy the narrative sold by the DW News. Under Angela Merkel, Germany was performing well in tech sector.

She did what was best for her country at that time. She ensured cheap fuel for the tech industries in Germany with her Russian gap pipe projects.

If you are interested, you can read her defense against the accusation on BBC News. It is the link.
