Changing a Netgear Router into a Wireless Access Point
Changing a Netgear Router into a Wireless Access Point
I have a Netgear wireless router. Does anyone here have experience changing a Netgear wireless router into an Access Point? Is it possible to convert a Netgear router into a Wireless Access Point? If yes, what is its range and performance?

Convert a Netgear Router into a Wireless Access Point
You can convert a Netgear wireless router into an Access Point. All you need to do is to change the settings to AP mode.
The newly converted Access Point will have the same range as the Netgear wireless router.
Even though the AP mode turns a router into a wireless access point, I prefer a real access point. Why should we pay extra?

OP may have an old extra wireless router. So, he can make it an Access Point without paying for a new.
